LA completes world's largest LED street light retrofit

Over the last few years, LED Lights have gone from something places would love to have to the industry standard. That the market has moved so quickly is thanks to the initiatives of early moving companies such as the Town of Los Angeles, which last 30 days completed the globe's biggest LED street lights alternative venture.


When I revealed on its LED road mild swap-out at this weblog in Jan, more than 80% of the LED furnishings had been implemented. On July 18, Gran Antonio Villaraigosa declared  the completing the first stage of the venture, with LED furnishings set up on 141,089 street lights.

Los Angeles is certainly not alone in switching to LED street lights. I’ve revealed at this weblog, for example, about the many other Florida places, big and small, that have done the same. In Goal of this season, the Town of Las Las vegas completed attire 42,000 street lights with LED furnishings. One 30 days later, the Town of Austin, tx, Florida, declared plans to set up 35,000 LED street lights. And, in Dec of last season, CPS Energy said it would set up 20,000 LED street lights in San Antonio.
